Beach Shoot.

Well what a day to pick to go to the beach... Out of all the stinking hot, cloud free days we have had in QLD.. I pick the cold, windy overcast one to spend at the beach doing photo's.
It was so windy, I could barely see what I was doing because my hair was in my face constantly, it's to short to put up, my stuff was being blown everywhere and I was EXTREMELY worried for my camera, so I babied it, using only the lens that was on it so I wouldn't have to risk damage changing lens' (such a sook lol)..
So It was a rush job, a few costume changes, Blue bottles on the beach which REALLY annoyed me 'cause it was also Bruiser's first beach encounter! As much as we were all expecting her to be afraid, she wasn't.. she LOVED it and just ran toward the ocean when we got there and really just wanted to stay in there. Just as well the kind stranger let us know about the blue bottles though, because as I was telling mum, one was washed in toward her and Bruiser! Diva loved it, drawing sand pictures and making sand castles and dancing ballet at the beach.. Something she has wanted to do for ages and brought along the beloved (much hated by mummy because of it's old raggy appearance) ballet dress to do exactly that! I also took the opportunity to do some Chrissy pics, as I have been way to slack and busy (lol in one sentence...) to do them, what better way to show the Aussie Christmas than a beach shoot with a Santa hat??
Anyway, enough rambling, here they are!
I am sorry there are so many.. I really need to learn to just pick maybe 3-4 favourties lol.

Get well soon Lauren :( And sorry Naomi!!

My very dear Friend has been very sick lately. It all started about a month ago when she fell ill at my house and ended up in hosptial. At first the doctors diagnosed her with gastro and then changed it to food poisening. She was sent home to re-coup. She didn't get any better and a week later was re-admitted.. This time it was found that her problem was actually her gall bladder.. So some surgery, an induced coma, 2 days in ICU, and another week in hospital she was sent home, once again to recover.. Last week, a week after her release, she was re-admitted for a post op infection :( My poor girl just can't get better and the hospital seem to be dragging their heels.
It's the 21st century!! Why is this so difficult with all their equipment and know how??
Anyway GET WELL SOON LOLLY!! Big squishy cuddles coming your way tomorrow!!!

On another sad note, my other dear friend Naomi informed me this morning that she lost her beloved kitty Forest last night to a tick bite :( She was pretty sick last night and Nay was unsure that she'd make it through the night, but I had quietly hoped that she would get a little Christmas miracle and Forest would pull through, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.
Nay I am so sorry for your loss, I hope you spend the day remembering your quirky girl and getting lots of cuddles and love from Dave and giving it to Caity!!
Thinking of you chicken :)

Feeling hot hot! HOT!!

Oh wow it's been a scorcher lately. Had some very hot days. My mum and I during the week have been taking the girls to the local pool. There are two out here and the one we have been frequenting we didn't know about until recently. WOW! What a great pool for the kidlets!! It has mushroom 'showers' and it's not too deep and keeps the kids entertained, a spa part for them.. it's really a great kids pool and more public pools should be making kids pools like this!!
Anyway here are some pics, enjoy!

Grandma and her girls

RAAF Air show!

Okay these were taken at the RAAF air show in October this year. So not the most recent but none the less a story with it lol. It was over 30 degrees that day, and as you can see barely a cloud in the sky. Within 2 hours I was down with Heat stroke and stayed that way meaning we had to come home. Apparently quite alot of people were struck with it. St John's ambulance were kept very busy. Managed to get these shots, My hubby took over for me while I was sitting getting enough energy to walk to the car. I must say the last hour was awful. A long way to walk to the car and a desperation to get there like you wouldn't believe. Got home and had a cold shower and layed in the air con and was almost recovered by late afternoon.
We are lucky we left Bruiser with Grandma for the day because she would have been a very sick bub in that heat, especially being a red head. Diva coped just fine, but then she has 'banana skin' (olive skin lol) and was kept in shade as much as we could. Anyway enough rambling. Hope you like the pictures!

Sunsets, glorious sunsets

They really speak for themselves don't they? I love when mother nature gives us a beautiful back drop to look at. I also love being able to sit in my pergola and admire the sunsets. Here are a few pics of sunsets I have taken. One I took on my old Fuji fine pix camera, before I got my new set up, but I still love the picture. Mum wants them put on canvasses for her lol.
Enjoy :)

This one was taken on my fuji.

The flood and storm pictures continued

Here are some more for you guys!

Kinda looks like an eye..

I thought a twister was going to drop out of that cloud

Sunbeams through the threatening clouds

The train station after the land slide...

I know our tanks need filling, but this is a bit extreme lol.

We're swimming!

well haven't we been hammered over the last week.
We have had some very nasty storms roll in since Sunday evening and the damage in SEQ is, well, quite devastating.
Here are some pictures I managed to take over the last few days of the sky talking and the floods and the Diva who decided that even though mummy repeatedly said DON'T GO NEAR THE FLOOD WATER, IT WILL SWEEP YOU AWAY.... went and stuck her feet in anyway ... KIDS!!

Enjoy!!

Oh and just so we all know, shooting floods with a 12mth old and a 4yr old is really hard work, because you cant get into the good shooting posi's (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it lol)

I will add more pics in a new post.

This is our river walk... Irony?

I want candy!!

I took these of the kids On the weekend, No I am not a mass breeder, they aren't all mine lol. two are Lauren and Darren's and two are mine! It was Maddison's (bruiser) first real lollipop and she absolutely loved it! And the big kids actually almost ate all of theirs.. I like how even at 4, 5 and 6 the gigantic lollipop still wins!!
